Make a complex animation using simple elements and a path.
Ever wanted to do some complex movement but it was hard to make al the curves using Frame-by-Frame animation or motion tween? Good thing Flash has a solution for this to. First crate the shape that you want to animate…I made a circle…again…and convert it to a Symbol. Chose MovieClip and give it a name. Name the layer with the circle in it “object”. Now right click on the layer and click on Add Motion Guide. A new layer should appear with the name: guide:object.
In this layer using the pen tool draw the path(trajectory) of the object. I made some curved lines. Now on the guide:object layer insert about 80 frames (or how much you need for your animation). Now select the object layer and go to the first frame. Put the object on the path, in the start point (from where you want your object to move). When you move your object a small circle should appear inside of it…just like in this picture
Now go to frame 80 and insert a keyframe. Move the object to the end point of your animation. Now click on any frame between 1 and 80 and rightclick->Create Motion Tween. Press CTRL+Enter to see your animation. Cool no? The *.FLA file can be downloaded from here.
