Learn how to make a simple Web2.0 logo with glossy effect and a reflection. Good for your web2.0 website templates.
So let's get started. Create a new Document in Phostoshop: 450x100 Transparent Draw a white rectangle the same size as the original document. This will be used as the background. Now take a font that you like and type your website title. Color is not important right now. Depending on the font you will have to adjust the size. Make sure it is no more than half of the height of the document. Put it on the top part of the image. Now we are going to ad some effects. Go to Blending Options and ad the following gradient: ![]() Now ad an Inner Glow. The default values should be just good. Now ad a 2px Black Stroke to the text. So far so good. Now let's make the text to "reflect". Duplicate the layer. Now scale it until it is the same height as the original text but flipped over (drag from top to buttom). You may also need to move this layer a litle up so that it will come right under the normal text. Now ad a layer mask to the layer. Chose the gradient tool and use this gradient: ![]() Using this gradient drag it from the buttom to the top of the layer two or three times. (You may also need to rasterize the layer before you do this). After that lower the opacity to about 90% The final result: ![]()
